My vast skillset and experience in a wide variety of industries makes me unique as a writer and marketer.
For more than two decades, I worked at advertising and marketing jobs in large and small businesses in the US and the UK. This included roles in the advertising department of Parade Magazine, one of the largest circulation magazines in the United States, and in the proposition development and customer insight departments of Aviva, one of the largest financial services corporations in the European Union.
In 2009, I decided to go solo.
Since then I’ve written, edited and managed content for my own websites and the websites of other businesses and organizations, including the University of Leeds and SGS. I’ve used my marketing experience and knowledge of customer needs to create audience-grabbing content. As the Internet grows and changes, I continue to learn about new developments in SEO and social media and apply them to my work.
My science writing, which appears on numerous websites, including Nature.com and ScientificAmerican.com, reflects my ability to communicate with any audience. I have a knack for explaining and analyzing complex material, without sacrificing accuracy, so the reader can understand it and appreciate its significance.
